Hinoo-jinja Shrine

Hinoo-jinja Shrine
Hinoo-jinja Shrine was worshipped as a guardian god of the Ikeda clan, one of the Koka ninja clans.

The main hall of the shrine built in 1707 is designated as a cultural property of Shiga Prefecture.
A wooden plaque in honor of warlord Ikeda Nobuteru (also known as Tsuneoki) for his donation towards the construction of Hinoo-jinja Shrine remains in the shrine. It is believed that he made the donation to demonstrate his dedication towards the deity of his hometown.
